Ah, finally the Oscars. Ellen didn't fail to deliver. I found the part about about Jack Nicholson hilarious. Ellen never fails to crack me up. Anyway, Helen Mirren's and Forrest Whittaker's wins were expected. But best original song was a lil bit of a surprise. What I found freakishly amazing was the 12-member modern-dance troupe Pilobolus. That's talent, people. All they needed was a white screen. The memoriam bit is always my mother's fave part. It's both sad and sweet. However, this year some element of the Oscars was missing. It just seemed too ....peaceful. Where was the excitement? The tense atmosphere was missing. The presenters seems a lil too calm and well...boring. Strangely it seems to me that Ellen's hosting time was actually less than that of the time for previous hosts. Well it may have been a bit of a ho-hum but the Oscars still get me talking about it every year.
